1 Water drenching filler

2 Water distribution system

The hot water is evenly distributed to the entire drenching filler. Whether the hot water is evenly distributed or not has a great influence on the cooling effect. If the water distribution is not uniform, it will not only directly reduce the cooling effect, but also cause some cooling water droplets to splash and float outside the tower.

3 Ventilation equipment

In the mechanical draft cooling tower, the ventilator is used to generate the expected air flow to ensure the required cooling effect.

4 Air Distribution Unit

The use of air inlet, shutters and wind guide plate and other devices, to guide the air evenly distributed in the entire section of the cooling tower.

5 Ventilator

The function of the ventilation tube is to create good aerodynamic conditions, reduce ventilation resistance, and send the hot and humid air discharged from the cooling tower to the high altitude to reduce the backflow of hot and humid air.

The ventilation tube of the mechanical ventilation cooling tower is also called the air duct. The air cylinder of the air duct type natural ventilation cooling tower is used to ventilate and send hot and humid air to the high altitude.

6 Water trap

The water droplets carried in the hot and humid air are separated from the air to reduce the loss of water and the impact on the surrounding environment.

7 Tower body

The external enclosure structure of the cooling tower, the tower body of the mechanical ventilation cooling tower and the wind tube natural ventilation cooling tower is closed, which plays the function of supporting, maintaining and organizing the appropriate airflow; the tower body of the open cooling tower is made along the tower height Open so that natural wind can enter the tower body.

8 Collected pool

It is located in the lower part of the cooling tower to collect the cooling water falling from the drenching filler. Sometimes the collecting pool also has a certain reserve volume to adjust the flow.

9 Water conveyance system

The water inlet pipe sends the hot water to the water distribution system, the water inlet pipe is provided with a valve to adjust the water inlet of the cooling tower, and the water outlet pipe sends the cooled water to the water equipment or the circulating water pump. Supplementary water pipes, sewage pipes, overflow pipes, vent pipes, etc. are also installed in the collection tank, and if necessary, connecting pipes can be set between multiple cooling towers.

10 Other facilities

Including access doors, access ladders, walkways, lighting, electrical controls, lightning protection devices, and flight obstacle signs when necessary, and sometimes cooling tower test components for testing needs.

Different combinations of the above components constitute cooling towers of various forms and uses: open drip cooling towers, air duct natural ventilation cooling towers, exhaust (or blast) counterflow cooling towers, exhaust cross-flow cooling towers, etc.
